Recently, Highlight successfully completed the upgrade and modification project of a computer-controlled safety valve test bench for a customer in Zigong, China. The project focuses on improving the automation level, control precision, and overall stability of the original safety valve testing system, ensuring that the equipment can meet higher industrial requirements for pressure testing and valve calibration.
After the upgrade was completed, the equipment has entered the commissioning and functional verification stage. The system operation remains stable on site, and all testing functions are being gradually optimized and validated, providing a solid foundation for subsequent formal production use.

From the on-site implementation perspective, the upgrade mainly focused on the optimization of the computer control system, pressure regulation unit, and test execution mechanism. Through system integration and control logic improvement, the accuracy of key test processes such as safety valve opening pressure testing, reseating pressure testing, and sealing performance verification has been significantly improved. At the same time, the data acquisition capability has been enhanced, enabling digital recording and traceability of the entire testing process.
This upgraded system corresponds to Highlight’s Banc d'essai des soupapes de sûreté à commande informatisée. According to the product design, the equipment is widely used for comprehensive performance testing of safety valves. It is suitable for valve testing in the range of DN15–DN400, and the maximum test pressure can reach up to 48 MPa. The system can also be configured according to different application requirements to meet various industrial testing standards. (gasboosterpump.com)
In terms of system structure, the equipment adopts a combined design of pneumatic control and hydraulic clamping, integrated with a gas booster pressure source and a hydraulic pressure control system. This configuration ensures stable pressure output and high-precision control during the testing process. The system supports both manual operation mode and computer automatic control mode, allowing flexible switching based on different testing tasks and improving on-site adaptability and efficiency.
